Rooibos Tea & Aging

September 4th, 2009

Rooibos tea is a South African tea, and quite frankly it’s one of my favorite teas.  I have used it for quite a while, and it has really helped in so many ways to improve my health in so many ways.  I mean who can really get better when it apparently has high levels of antioxidants and it has been used to relieve anxiety, asthma, hay fever, stomach cramps, irritable bowel syndrome, boost the immune system, cure insomnia, and it has even been used to help colic prone infants.

Free radicals are often known for causing premature aging and dull skin in general.  So that in itself could be a bit benefit for obvious reasons, and it works this way whether applied directly to the skin or drunk for that matter.  It is also rich in copper, potassium, iron, magnesium, zinc, and fluoride.  It has shown up in many recent skincare as well as weight loss products in general, and it continues to gain some amount of steam and popularity in general.  So I would highly recommend drinking Rooibos tea, if only for the taste that I like.  However, if you’ve drunk the Costco bolthouse drinks that are Rooibos, that is not actually the taste, that’s more attributed to the fruits they happen to use.
