Sensitive Moisturizers

August 28th, 2009

There are plenty of people with sensitive skin types.  Sometimes it just requires wearing a little bit more sunscreen when you go outside, and sometimes it’s something else.  Sometimes it means not using harsh chemicals like benzoyl peroxide, and sometimes it means having a severe allergic reaction to just about everything.  But all in all, if you are going to prevent wrinkles, treat your skin, and otherwise improve your skin, you have to have a good moisturizer.  It’s a simple fact of life.  And unless you are allergic to something highly unusual, there is one basic type of moisturizer that should work for everybody.

They’re based around water, which is why I say unless you are allergic to something highly unusual, you won’t have a reaction to this.  Many find them to be the gentlest possible moisturizers, even if you don’t have sensitive skin, and they literally turn to water as they spread across your face.  But they leave the skin moisturized, soft, and otherwise covered as far as the results you are actually looking for.  So it’s definitely something to consider no matter your skin type to use a water based moisturizer, which at the very least won’t clog your pores or cause those particular problems.
